Getting started

The essentials to install the kitchen device and get it running.

Installing on Android

  1. Install the Qhalix app on the tablet or phone that will stay fixed in the kitchen.
  2. Grant the permissions the app asks for (camera, storage) so it can attach photos to records.
  3. Open the app: it will ask for the device license key on first launch.

Installing on Windows

  1. Install the Qhalix app on the kitchen PC.
  2. Open the app: it will ask for the device license key on first launch.

First launch and license activation

  1. Enter the device license key (format qlx_live_…) you received when you signed up.
  2. The device is now activated: from here it works offline, and the network is only needed to renew the license.
  3. Create the first staff member with their 6-digit PIN to start logging records.

Generating the inspection report

  1. Open the reports section from the main menu.
  2. Choose the date range and the modules you want to include.
  3. Export the report: it's ready to show an inspector, even if the device is offline at that moment.
